Remember to Pray
When you first start an exercise program or anything, do you find that you are motivated at first and then quit after a little while? We have all done this at some point in our lives. That project that you started because it looked like it would be fun, then it took to much time.
In your head the idea of this new venture is exciting but there comes a time when action has to go with the thought. The action is not always an easy part. The action gets tiring, being overweight and having to get on the floor and do crunches or leg lifts to you seems easy in your head but when you get down to do them the smile is no longer on your face. This is where you have to pray and ask God to give you strength. You have to trust that God will keep your eyes on the prize. If losing weight is something you have struggled with take it to God. If there is something on your job take it to God. You can do nothing on your own, but through Christ all things are possible. Losing 200 lbs, getting a new job after working with one company for 30 years or getting out of debt are all difficult, however, prayer is the key. Matthew 21:22 says, “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith." Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” This endeavor may cause you to have to increase your level of trust and faith in God. If you find your faith and trust levels are low ask God to increase them. The bible says God will give you the desires of your heart. Let Him know what your desire is. He wants to see you get your temple in order.
God has already made the provision and the promise for your success, walk in the authority He has given you and Walk it Out or Work It Out. Whether you walk it out or work it out if you stick to the plan and pray you will see the desired results. The progress might be slow, but don’t give up, just keep on pressing on.
Know that we are praying for your success.
*Remember next week is Thanksgiving, plan for it. How will you overcome the desire to over eat?
